Biara Webster

BExSciNut, MClinExPh(Rehab)

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

With 13 years as an exercise physiologist, Biara has extensive experience with musculoskeletal conditions, in particular rehabilitation for spinal injuries and chronic pain conditions.

Biara adopts an individualised and biopsychosocial approach to pain management, providing pain neurophysiology education and graded exercise tailored to the patient’s lifestyle, needs, barriers, and goals.

Working closely with the treating team, her aim is to empower patients to achieve their goals and independence.

Biara holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Nutrition and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehab). She has continued her education through the completion of the University of South Australia’s 20-week Professional Certificate in Pain Science and Education, University of Sydney’s 8-week Pain CBT course, and various private short courses. She is currently enrolled in a pain science research Masters Degree with University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Dr Pope utilises Biara’s expertise in a multidisciplinary model, particularly in WorkCover cases at his Burwood consulting space. This galvanises the care provided to injured workers and increases the likelihood of a successful return to independence, pain reduction, increased function, and optimal return to work.
